Intense and complex nose of cherry, blackberry, violet, sweet spice and dye flowers, with light oaky hint. Gentle and charming on the palate, with smooth tan-nins, proper freshness, and delicious mineral finish.

Argentina | Mendoza

An attractively vibrant, youth-ful shade of red with a fruit driven nose of redcurrants and spices. The palate is medium bodied, soft and easily approachable, offering an array of red fruit flavours with balancing structure and a dry, rounded finish.  Very versatile.

This is a spicy and warm cabernet, with hints of coffee and plenty of ripe dark fruit. On the palate it is full-bodied firm and soft tannins, blackcurrant fruit, and subtle vanillin flavours of new oak. A fabulous match for red meats.

Spain | Rioja

Clear and bright.  Sumptuous and classical in style with good use of American oak. Aromas of blackberries, cedar,leather and spices. Good balance on the palate with a long finish. This wine pairs perfectly with curried dishes and spicy dishes.

Amarone della Valpolicella, Le Vigne £38.00

Italy | Veneto

Deep almost opaque in colour with a pronounced nose of morello cherries interspersed with layers of oak and spice.  On the palate it is rich and powerful with strong tan-nins, considerable texture and complexity. This is a powerful wine of great character and beautiful with lamb dishes.

Thirteen grape varieties are permitted in the production of this iconic wine with the dominance of Grenache and Syrah. The red is powerful, with defined fruit characters and supple tannins. It offers a wonderful nose of spice and dark fruits followed by a rich, ripe palate with layers of fruit and spice.

France | Languedoc-Roussillon

Made from the Cinsault grape , with a dash of Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, this is a delightful and dainty Rose hailing from the Languedoc- Roussillon region of Southern France.  Intense lychee and strawberry notes are greeted with hints of violet and good acidity enabling the wine to be sipped as an aperitif or paired with food, the slight sweetness balancing spice perfectly.

Comte de Provence Rosé, La Vidaubanaise £29.00

France | Provence

La Vidaubanaise is one of the finest co-operatives in Provence and they produce balanced, highly drinkable rosés, sold in the retro “flûte à corset” Provence bottle.   Classic light pink in the glass. A light, bright nose of wild strawberries. Refreshing and smooth on the palate this is a versa-tile food-friendly wine.

Sancerre Rosé, Domaine des Vieux Pruniers £35.00

The Sancerre region is most famous for it’s production ofSauvignon Blanc but some beautiful reds and rosés made from the prized Pinot Noir grape should not be over- looked. This is an elegant rosé that is ultra crisp with subtle hints of succulent red fruits. It possesses a lightly aromatic juicy nose of strawberries. The palate is dry, light and fruity with a mouthwatering layer of raspberry fruit.
